Heliko Technologies publishes the source code of its products free of charge to the general public. Any individual, group of individuals or organization that download and use the source code shall carefully take note of the following terms and conditions: - The names Heliko, HelikoSearch, HelikoBuilder, Heliko Technologies are the property of Heliko Technologies. - The domain names heliko.com and heliko.ca are the property of Heliko Technologies. - The Heliko logo is the property of Heliko Technologies. - The snail, as presented in the graphic elements, is the property of Heliko Technologies. - The above mentioned names, logo, graphics and domain names shall not be used in any subsequent products derived from the source code. - By making public its source code, Heliko Technologies does not relinquish or transfer its rights to the above mentioned names, logo, graphic elements and domain names. - Any class name, structure name, union name, variable name, constant name, #define and, in general, any word in the source code, containing the term Heliko, shall be modified. - Heliko Technologies will not provide help in any form. - The source code is made available to the general public in the spirit of code sharing. - The source code is available AS-IS without any warranty. People who chose to download this source code and use it for whatever application shall be solely responsible for any damage and shall not bound Heliko Technologies in any way.
In conclusion, the code is available free of charge, with no particular licensing terms and you are free to use it the way you want. Just remember that you get it AS-IS (i.e: don't ask questions) and the Heliko name, domain names, logo and graphics elements remains my property.
The Heliko web site will be maintained for a certain period of time. If an individual, a group of individuals or an organization decides to continue the development of the search engine (with a new name, of course) I may choose, at my discretion, to provide a link on the Heliko web site redirecting browsers to the new web site. In this manner, people will know where to go for the new product. Please contact me to make the necessary arrangement. Important! In order to help you understand the Heliko source code, you can post questions at: questions@heliko.com I do not commit to respond to every question. Answers will be posted in the FAQ section of this web site. No answer will be sent by email. Questions can be in French or in English. Answers will be in the same language as the question. Please do not post questions after November 30th 2006. I will finish this chapter in my life.
